Discretion never worked to save a man
Who wasn't at the time already saved,
And prudence never once ensured a plan,
For which the path was not already paved.
No caution ever set a rising trend,
No heedful care acquired accolades,
Yet recklessness has molded gods from men,
Who saw the risks and ventured anyway.
