At times the only way to bear this life,
While wading through the depths of deep despair,
Is keeping busy and preoccupied,
And so exhausted we no longer care.

Our lethargy deflects.  Each drowse defends.
A tired mind, befuddled, numbs our fears.
Fatigue is suffering’s enduring friend,
For weary eyes sleep tight and shed no tears.
