Some dogs live lives that go unsung,

But mine shall hereby be declared.

My dog’s  a sacred talisman,

Who guards my house from dark despair,

Some canines give quick tricks or stunts,

Bring slippers to their masters feet,

Some carry quarry from the hunt.

Mine fetches peace and sanity.
